About the Patty Fund

Thanks to a disbursement from the Patty Fund, IPCP teachers were able to attend the Atlanta NAEYC conference this fall.

The Patty Fund is a donation account created by founding families of IPCP that provides support for the teaching staff at Inman Park Cooperative Preschool. The fund was established in honor of Patty Bonner, long-time teacher and former director of IPCP. Current Patty Fund committee members include: Ann Van Slyke, Midge Sweet, Krista Brewer, Bobbie Paul and Libby Bishop.

In 1981, a group of Inman Park parents began Inman Park Cooperative Preschool in the basement of the Lizzie Bethel Baptist Church (currently New Mount Sinai Baptist Church on Euclid Avenue). Relocated to its current site at 760 Edgewood Avenue in 1988, the preschool now maintains morning classes for children aged one to five years. IPCP also offers after-school playtime and enrichment classes and a summer camp.
