Parent Involvement
The cooperative nature of IPCP is central to its success. Inman Park was the first parent-owned and operated cooperative preschool in Georgia. It's been called "The School That Parents Built" and the commitment and enthusiasm of each family is what makes the school a vital and growing operation. Each family participates in the following ways:
- Working at the preschool as a parent teacher approximately one morning each month helping children learn and experiencing first-hand their children’s world.
- Participating actively on one of IPCP’s committees.
- Investing their sweat equity through three work days each year.
- Working on at least one fundraising project per year as part of the annual auction.
