Programs

Inman Park Cooperative Preschool classes serve children between the ages of 12 months and five years. One- and two-year-old children are grouped with others of the same age to enable them to adjust to the preschool setting and to enjoy age-appropriate activities without unnecessary frustration. Multi-age classrooms for three- and four-year-olds provide a wider experience, allowing children to interact with friends of varying ages.

IPCP maintains small class sizes to ensure maximum attention is paid to each child.

Student to teacher ratios are:

  • 1 to 5 for one-year old children
  • 1 to 6 for young two-year old children
  • 1 to 7 for younger “multi-age” class
  • 1 to 8 for three- and four-year old children

In addition, there is a parent teacher for each set of classes each day to help facilitate learning and one-on-one attention.

Hours

The IPCP academic year calendar generally follows the calendar of the City of Atlanta Schools. Regular classroom hours at Inman Park Cooperative Preschool are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Children who are one year old and walking before September 1st may be registered to attend two or three days per week. Children two to four may be registered to attend two, three, or four days per week.

In addition, IPCP offers playtime from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for students enrolled in the regular program. These programs are staffed by qualified personnel and provide a variety of physical activities, arts and crafts, dramatic play, and story and rest times.

Extended Hours

IPCP offers playtime from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for students enrolled in the regular program. These programs are staffed by qualified personnel and provide a variety of physical activities, arts and crafts, dramatic play, and story and rest times.
